APM is not receiving data from the Probe

Summary:

Possible causes of missing data for Application performance monitoring (APM) from the Flowmon Probe.

Environment:

Product: APM

Version: Any

Platform: Any

Question/Problem Description:

Why there is no data for APM? The green icon for the Probe (APM -> Settings -> Probes) is green, however from Probe statistics is obvious that Probe is not sending any data.

Steps to Reproduce:  
Error Message: /data/bf/log/BlueFerret.log

WARN SnifferTcpHandler - TCPHandler::ProcessPacket - HalfOpen - 172.30.29.73:1521-172.30.191.57:43498[530809][SV]: HalfOpen|Closed|Open : data from Server but missing SYN from Client

WARN SnifferTcpHandler - TCPHandler::ProcessPacket - HalfOpen - 172.30.191.58:59312-172.30.29.72:1521[530815][CL]: HalfOpen|Open|Closed : data from Client but missing SYN from Server
Defect Number:  
Enhancement Number:  
Cause: Missing SYN packets from client or server.
Resolution:

1. Verify that Flowmon has full visibility of the traffic from application servers.

2. Check the configuration of mirror ports of a VMware Distributed vSwitch (DSwitch).
