Calculation of channel statistics and Max as an aggregation function description

Information

Summary:

The values of channel statistics in graph change according to the used granularity of the graph, selected interval, or by using Max as an aggregation function. The calculation of values in 'Get channel statistics' section is the same. Therefore, the values between graph and the 'Get channel statistics' section may differ.

Environment:

Product: Flowmon OS

Version: Any

Platform: Any

Question/Problem Description:

If I move mouse is over the graph to see channel statistics, why these values are different from 'Get channel statistics' section?

Steps to Reproduce:

Defect Number:
Enhancement Number:
Cause:
Resolution:

1. Get channel stastistics
Values are calculated for all flows in the selected interval in 5 minute granularity.

2. Max as an aggregation function is enabled
When the graph is zoomed out, columns granularity changes and is different than 5 minutes. Then 5 minute interval with highest value is selected and multiplied by number of 5 minute columns of selected interval.

3. If is selected only part of the used granularity

Selected interval is devided by 5 minute granularity and then multiplied by selected interval.

Example:
13:10 - 13:25 is selected and value of transferred bytes is 2,52 GB. Top value is 1,26 GB for 5 minute interval.

2. Max as an aggregation function is enabled

Graph is zoomed out to have 30 minutes granularity. Value of transferred bytes is 3,77 GB - > calculation: 1,26x3. Value in channel statistics is still 2,52 GB.

3. If is selected only part of the used granularity

Graph is zoomed out to have 30 minutes granularity. Selected interval is 13:10 - 13:25. Value of transferred bytes is 1,27 GB -> Calculation (2,55/6)x 3. Value in channel statistics is still 2,52 GB
