1. LoadMaster License explained

You can view license and support information on the LoadMaster Web User Interface (WUI) home screen by clicking View License.

Note that Licensed Until refers to how long this unit will be activated for. For example, if this is a trial unit, it will be activated for 30 days. If this is a permanent unit, it will be activated indefinitely. This is separate from the field Support Until

This error refers to the current license on the unit. You can update the firmware on the LoadMaster if the unit is in support.

Geo and Waf

Subscriptions are linked with your Support, so when the Support on your license expires, The updates for these Features will not be downloaded anymore.

3. How to pull a new updated license from the Kemp Database

If support has been renewed recently, the unit may have the old support date. In this scenario, you must update the license on the unit using the online or offline licensing method.

If the LoadMaster has access to the internet:

  1. Access the LoadMaster Web User Interface (WUI).
  2. Navigate to System Configuration > System Administration > Update License.
  3. Select Online Licensing and enter your KEMP ID and password.
  4. Click Update License.

  2. Select Offline Licensing and click the Get License link.
  3. Enter your KEMP ID and password (leave the Order ID field blank).
  4. Upon completion, the license will be emailed to you.
  5. Copy and paste the License, from start to finish, into the License box.

Hello, I'm preparing to update my VLM5000 to 7.1.35.6 LTS but am not able to. It tells me

"License disallows any further software updates. Updates can only be installed after installing a new license is required."

Is updating the license disruptive to my virtual services?

thanks.

Updating the LoadMaster license would not be disruptive to your virtual services. That said, we would always suggest a maintenance window when making any changes to a production LoadMaster.
