Logging switch interface flapping on the LoadMaster
Information
Summary: |
Additional logs on the LoadMaster in regard to switch interface flapping. |
Environment: |
Product: LoadMaster Version: Any Platform: Any Application: Any |
Question/Problem Description: |
The Switch interfaces are flapping though there are no logs on the LoadMaster that reflect the issue. Real servers can be seen failing around the time of the switch interface flapping. |
Steps to Reproduce: | |
Error Message: | |
Defect Number: | |
Enhancement Number: | |
Cause: | The LoadMaster will not log when a port channel is flapping since the actual interface of the LoadMaster did not go down. The LoadMaster interface would log the interfaces as down if it was the physical cable itself or if the switch ports were physically disconnected from the unit. As for the real servers failing health checks, this is expected when a port channel is flapping. The port channel going down or flapping will take the VLAN down which then takes the real server down. |
