Summary:

RDP connectivity breaks when the default gateway of the real server is pointed to the local interface of the LoadMaster.

Environment:

Product: LoadMaster

Version: Any

Platform: Any

Application: Any

Question/Problem Description:

When transparency is enabled and the default gateway of the real server is pointed to the local interface on the LoadMaster, RDP connectivity to the real server is lost.

Steps to Reproduce:
Error Message:
Defect Number:
Enhancement Number:
Cause:

This occurs due to asymmetric routing between the client, real server, and LoadMaster.

Resolution:

In a one-arm configuration Server NAT will need to be disabled to allow access to the real server using RDP.

This can be done when navigating to System Configuration > Miscellaneous Options > Network Options.

In a two-arm configuration, an RDP connection will need to be created to allow RDP access to the real server.

1. In the main menu, select Virtual Services > Add New.
