Basic Authentication Pop-up when trying to access Management Web User Interface (WUI)

Summary:

When trying to access the WUI in the browser, administrators are presented with a pop-up for basic authentication which only works with the bal account, regardless of the user accounts and permissions that were configured.  Once a user logs in with the bal account, they are then brought to the login screen of the LoadMaster and can then log in with a user account.

Question/Problem Description:

Disable Basic Authentication for the WUI
Steps to Reproduce:

Enhancement Number:  
Cause: This is a default configuration that is enabled on the LoadMaster and needs to be turned off.
Resolution:
  • Navigate to: Certificates & Security > Admin WUI Access > WUI Session Management > uncheck the box next to "Require Basic Authentication"
  • If the current session is logged in with anything other than the bal account, this will be greyed out.  Log out and sign back in with the bal account and this will then be able to be changed.
  • a reboot is not needed after making this change nor will it have any impact on Virtual Services
