Flowmon goes trough the Search base to look for any property which is the same as the "Name of the IP field". If the value of this IP address in this property is matched with the one Flowmon is looking for, the entire object is then displayed and the LDAP information about this object is then added to ADS events. LDAP objects and properties are not standardized and they can be named differently accross different LDAP servers and platforms, so the Name of the IP field needs to be defined in ADS so the system knows for what property to look for. |
