Enhancement Number: | |
Cause: | The client connection keeps connecting over port 80 after the initial connection attempt. |
Resolution: |
Setting the redirect error code to a 301 Moved Permanently will stop the client from trying to connect on port 80 after the first attempt and will then use port 443. When it was set to 302 Found the client connection does not stop the users from communicating via port 80. The 301 will allow the user to initially connect through port 80 and then for the remainder of the connection the users will connect directly to the 443 virtual service. Within the port 80 redirect virtual service expand Advanced Properties and within the Not available Redirection Handling adjust the Error Code from a 302 Found to 301 Moved Permanently. |
