Wildcard port for virtual services
Information
Summary: |
How to set a wildcard port on a Virtual Service. |
Environment: |
Product: LoadMaster Version: Any Platform: Any Application: Any |
Question/Problem Description: |
It appears there is not an option to set an asterisk in the port field, nor specifying a range on our virtual load balancers. To get the service working the wildcard option is needed as there are still legacy clients require more ports than just 443. |
Steps to Reproduce: | |
Error Message: | |
Defect Number: | |
Enhancement Number: | |
Cause: | The wildcard port was being set at the Real Server level, instead of the Virtual Service level. |
Resolution: | Within a Virtual Service select "Change Address" and set the virtual service port to *. This will allow the virtual service to accept traffic over all ports. After doing so, the real servers will show * as their port as well. |
