DHCP IP assignment for VPN Clients is not Supported

This article explains the reason DHCP for VPN client IP address assignment is not supported as stated in the Microsoft Always On VPN deployment guide section 1.6.

This requirement/prerequisite is a Microsoft requirement and not really a LoadMaster requirement.

 

"There are a number of considerations for VPN client connections:

  • VPN client traffic cannot be load balanced if VPN client addresses are allocated using DHCP. A static address pool is required."
