Configuring HTTPS End-to-Edge service for Microsoft DirectAccess

The LoadMaster can balance HTTP(S) end-to-edge requests for Microsoft DirectAccess. The configuration for such a service is quite basic:

  1. Create a new Virtual Service using port 443.
  2. Once created, modify the service and untick the Transparency check box in the Standard Options section.
  3. Expand the Real Servers section.
  4. Click Add New and add servers to the Virtual Service.

Ensure to use a HTTPS health check and contact the servers via port 443.

Keep an eye on the KEMP Technologies support documents - soon SSL offloading will be supported for DirectAccess.
