Closing a Connection With a Header Modification

If you have a connection which isn’t closing in time for the next request, then you can create headers to close the connection when finished with the connection. To do this, please follow the steps below in the LoadMaster Web User Interface (WUI):

  1. In the main menu, select Rules & Checking and Content Rules.
  2. Click Create new.
  3. Use the following Rule:
  4. Click Create Rule.
  5. Click Create new.
  6. Use the following Rule:
  7. Click Create Rule.
  8. In the main menu, select Virtual Services and View/Modify Services.
  9. Click Modify on the relevant Virtual Service.
  10. Click Show Header Rules.
  11. In Response Rules, select Close and click Add.
  12. In Response Rules, select Close_Delete and click Add.

This rule will add a header connection to response from the server which will close the connection and then we will delete that connection header.
