Why flows per second are lower in ADS than in the Monitoring Center if both are based on the same flow data?

Multiple configuration options in the ADS's data feed can lower the number of processed flow data:

  • Deduplication
  • Sampling
  • FPS limit
  • Proxy correlation

Other limitations are:

  • License limit
  • Performance limit

Simplified ADS processing pipeline:
Deduplication -> flow pairing -> proxy correlation -> FPS limiting -> license limit check.
