Curl command to VIP fails with error message curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate

Environment:

Product: Loadmaster

Version: Any

Platform: Any

Application: HTTP web application

Question/Problem Description:

When using curl command to access Loadmaster VIP for testing, getting the below error message.

Testing curl command directly to the real server works with certificate loaded on real server.

VIP already has same certificate loaded and the certificate is not expired.

 

Steps to Reproduce:  
Error Message:
curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
Defect Number:  
Enhancement Number:  
Cause:

Certificate chain was incomplete, and client was unable to form certificate chain.

Resolution:

Uploading the CA provided root and intermediate certs solves the issue, as that would complete the chain of trust.
