APM showing only one concurrent user

Information

Summary:

APM Analysis shows only one or two concurrent users for an application when many more users use the application.

Environment:

Product: Flowmon APM

Version: Any

Platform: Any

Question/Problem Description:

Why is there only one user visible in the APM analysis?

Steps to Reproduce:
Error Message:
Defect Number:
Enhancement Number:
Cause:
Resolution:

The session and user are identified by client IP by default. If the application is behind the load balancer and the source IP is the IP address of the load balancer then it is necessary to use different session identification.

The most common way is to use the X-Forwarded-For field instead of the client IP (in the case of a web application).

The session identification can be changed in:
APM - Settings - Applications - select desired application - Session identification - Edit - change "Client IP" to "X-Forwarded-For" - Save filters.
