Flowmon appliance full disk and how to address it

This article describes how to determine if there is an issue with disk space and how to address such issue

Environment:

Product: Flowmon

Question/Problem Description:

In Flowmon, we can distinguish between the data and the system partitions. Both have services and processes in place, preventing them from filling the disk completely. If any of these for whatever reason fail, the user can encounter GUI errors, or the web interface can become inaccessible partially or comepletely.

The system is not able to decrease disk usage, and the disk is full. Stopping collector.


Your disk quota was exceeded by X G! Current quotas have been decreased in order to save disk space. Please check Quota Manager.

The system is not able to decrease a disk usage. The disk is getting full.

Once the system partition becomes full, an "Internal Server Error" or just "Error 500" can appear.

To allow us to investigate the issue faster, please access the appliance console, run the following command and provide us the results

df -h

Notes: In case of virtual probes, it is also generally advised to follow the recommended system requirments and to allocate no less than the required disk space to the appliance.
