How to set value for Failed Login Attempts for LoadMaster ESP
The LoadMaster has the ability to set a maximum number of failed login attempts. This can be done by navigating to Virtual Services > Manage SSO > Modify (of the desired SSO) > Failed Login Attempts and changing this field to the desired number of maximum attempts.
Once set to a value other than 0 (zero), two additional fields appear: Reset Failed Login Attempt counter after and Unblock Timeout.
- The Reset Failed Login Attempt counter after will reset the number of failed login attempts generated by a single user after the specified number of seconds. By default, this value is set to 60 seconds, but can be set up to 86400 seconds (one day). This value must be lower than the Unblock Timeout.
- The Unblock Timeout field allows the LoadMaster to automatically unlock an account that reached the number of failed login attempts. The default value of this field is 1800 (30 minutes). This value must be higher than the Reset Failed Login Attempt counter after field.
Unlock a user manually by navigating to Virtual Services > Manage SSO > Sessions (of the desired SSO). Click the Unlock button next to the user to be unblocked or click the Unlock All to unblock all users.
