ASL Activated LoadMasters and Common errors

This article is intended to be a quick primer on our Metered Enterprise Licensing (MELA) deployment and a few common pitfalls to watch for during the initial deployment of the LoadMasters and deployment of the LoadMasters going forward.

  • You should check the state of the LoadMasters that are activated using ASL. The ASL feature is used for MELA deployments and should be labeled with a blue icon in KEMP 360 Central.  If your MELA units are not blue, please contact KEMP Support.
  • You must also ensure that KEMP 360 Central does not lose connectivity to KEMP’s central ALSI system for reporting purposes. Full details are available in the link below.
  • You must leave session management enabled on the LoadMaster. If this is turned off communication between KEMP 360 Central and LoadMaster will not function.
    • You can check this using the LoadMaster Web Interface.
    • Certificates & Security > Admin WUI Access
  • Ensure the application programming interface (API) is always on. If this interface is turned off, communication between Kemp 360 Central and LoadMaster will not function.
    • You can check this using the LoadMaster Web Interface.
    • Certificates & Security > Remote Access
