AxF Firewall and Connectivity Requirements
In order to utilise AxF there are a number of connectivity requirements that must be met. These ensure that data can be collected and presented successfully from managed devices and Issues reported when detected.
To use AxF, you will need to deploy at least one Connector in your network to monitor your Application Delivery Infrastructure. This Connector will report back network metrics to the AxF Cloud. In order to enable this, you will need to allow communication from the Connector to the AxF Cloud. This Communication requires https traffic to be sent and appropriate Firewall Rules should be present to enable this outbound communication.
Once Deployed the Connector is responsible for monitoring and gather metrics form managed LodMaster(s). In order to enable this the HTTPs RESTFUL aPI is used whcih requires HTTP(s) communication from the Connector to the Admin Interface (typically port 443) on the LoadMaster. As well as this the LoadMaster will send syslog messages to the Connector using udp port 514
