What happens to the loadmaster when support expires?

Question/Problem Description:

Support expiry date is tomorrow, and while they have submitted a request with sales for a renewal, they wanted to know if support expiring would cause any loadmaster functionality issues, or affect their load balanced sites before the renewal is processed.
Steps to Reproduce:  
Error Message: Subscription will expire soon, Please contact Kemp support immediately to relicense the appliance. Failure to do so may cause the LM to stop working.

Cause: Failure to renew support before expiry date.
Resolution:
  • The support expiring will not affect any core functionality of the loadmaster. It will still function, and serve traffic as expected.
  • The only additional features that require a valid license that would be effected are the following:
    • WAF ruleset downloads.
    • GEO Automated IP Blacklist data updates.
    • Firmware updates.
    • Customer support. (Note: If you have a renewal request submitted with the sales team already, support can confirm this, and still assist even if the renewal has not officially taken place yet.)
  • Once support has been purchased, update the license to reflect your new expiration date.
