Monitoring ports don't turn up on a new (usually replacement) probe
Information
Summary: |
Monitoring ports don't turn up on a new probe (usually replacement) after using configuration from the previous probe |
Environment: |
Product: Flowmon Probe Version: All Platform: Physical |
Question/Problem Description: |
Part of the configuration file is the information about link speed of monitoring ports. If your new probe's monitoring ports have different bandwidth than the previous one, and you try to import the configuration file from that probe, it will set the link speed to the previous value too. If it's an unsupported speed, the link will stay down. |
Steps to Reproduce: | You can just set unsupported link speed on a monitoring port |
Error Message: | The respective link will be greyed out in the "Configuration Center - Overview" section |
Defect Number: | |
Enhancement Number: | |
Cause: | All the configuration is applied from the previous probe, link speed included. |
Resolution: | It needs to be manually switched to the correct speed. It can be done in the section "Configuration Center - Monitoring Ports - Interface settings". |
Workaround: | No workaround needed |
