Information

Summary:

Port 80 VS setup on Azure LM

Environment:

Product: LoadMaster

Version: Any

Platform: Azure

Application: Any

Question/Problem Description:

Want some assistance creating a Port 80 service to go with their current Port 443 service.

Steps to Reproduce: Duplicate existing 443 service, then change the port to 80.

Enhancement Number:
Cause:
Resolution:

  1. To start, EU had already created a rule to open port 80 tcp traffic on the internal load balancer in azure.
  2. EU said that most of the config on the 443 service could be applicable to the port 80 service, so we decided to simply duplicate the port 443 vs. Modify the VS > Duplicate > Set Port to 80
  3. Once duplicated, we disabled SSL acceleration, and switched the backend server ports to listen over 80 instead.
  4. service is now passing health checks successfully.
