  • 3rd party software or applications CANNOT be installed on the LoadMaster.

 

  • LoadMaster is an appliance. It is not an application loaded on an operating system. Some of the code in the appliance comes from open source (Linux source tree) and some is custom code created by Progress. There is no interface available to load 3rd party code. The appliance operating system does not include standard Linux libraries and is not capable of running 3rd party code.

 

  • LoadMaster is very similar to Cisco routers, Juniper switches, or the computer that runs your car. They are all closed systems incapable of running 3rd party code.
