K360 Central High Availability - Configuration Mismatch Error





K360 Central units are not pairing into high availability (HA), even when the HA API keys and the partner IP addresses are correct. The units can communicate as well. The HA status is "Configuration Mismatch".

Question/Problem Description:

Two Kemp 360 Central units are being paired together. 

Steps to Reproduce:
  • Deploy K360 Central with permanent license
  • Deploy second K360 Central with trial license
  • Pair into high availability (HA) mode
  • HA status will show permanent license unit role as master, trial unit role as standalone, and high availability status as "Configuration Mismatch"
Error Message: HA Status: Configuration Mismatch
Defect Number:  
Enhancement Number:  
Cause: A permanent Central unit and a trial Central unit cannot be in a high availability pair together. It will throw an error, and the units will not pair.
Resolution: Upgrade the Central unit with the trial license to a permanent license.
