Information

Summary:

How to check the status of RAID without access to iDrac

Environment:

Product: Flowmon Collector, Flowmon PRO Probes

Version: All

Platform: HW

Question/Problem Description:

If I don't have access to the iDrac console and I can not generate a TSR log to confirm the HW issue with disks or raid controller. How can I check the status of these parts?

Steps to Reproduce:
Error Message: The RAID status on the Dashboard in FCC is degraded.
Defect Number:
Enhancement Number:
Cause:
Resolution:

It is possible to generate TSR logs via SSH in Flowmon OS under the "flowmon" user with the following commands:

sudo /opt/dell/srvadmin/sbin/racadm supportassist accepteula
sudo /opt/dell/srvadmin/sbin/racadm supportassist collect -f /home/flowmon/tsr_logs.zip

If you can not generate DELL TSR logs, you can send us raid_status.txt to confirm an issue with disks or raid controller.

Workaround:

To check the status of the RAID on the HW appliance you can use the attached package.

After installing this package, in /home/flowmon directory will be file raid_status.txt

In this file is all information about disks and the raid controller.
