Question/Problem Description: |
About 90 minutes after the upgrade from 7.2.46.0 to 7.2.48.7 was performed, messages in the warning logs about NTP resyncs began populating. Almost every 30 minutes since then, NTP is having to resync because the time has drifted off by 11 or 12 seconds. These errors only started after doing the upgrade. |

Error Message: | logger: Nosession: Set Time from NTP server "NTP.server.example" from "date/time" to "updated date/time" |

Cause: | Using an NTP hostname instead of an IP address sometimes causes time drift. |
Resolution: | Set an NTP host using an IP address instead of a hostname. |
Workaround: | Downgrade or upgrade firmware to a different version. |
