Fqdn and IP Address

0

Hello,

I have an Ubuntu based apache virtualhost server protected by KEMP free LoadBalancer version.

All is working fine, but I need to configure a virtual service to intercept requests and to answer at all the requests on this virtual service by IP Address and not FQDN.

Can we do that ?

Thanks!

Hello,

can you give more details on this scenario?
are you asking that if a client connects to a virtual service using a FQDN and LoadMaster should respond with seen from its IP address and not the FQDN?
it may be possible to use a response rule but I would like some clarification on the scenario first

Hello Tony,

Thanks for your implication on my problem.

In fact, I want that the client ask with IP and that the Kemp answer with IP also.

Right now, if the client ask with IP of virtual service, it will redirect the request to webserver and after that, the request is rewrited and the client communicate with fqdn.

I hope that is clear because I have a very poor english...

Thanks!

Hello All,

I have done my need with apache directly and I have deactivated Kemp for this!

Thanks and regards!
