How to configure HTTPS Virtual Service?

0

We have configured HTTPS Virtual Service and Real Server, also we have added the required SSL certificate.

Load master shows the Virtual Service to be UP for few seconds, but after that it goes down. When checked in logs it says "Bad Request".

Please help us.

Hello

by default a real sever is always shown as up before the first health check is complete
if you are seeing bad request in the logs this means that the LoadMaster did not get a 200 response,
it may have got a 403 or 404 instead

if you change the health check to a lower level such as TCP connection only, are you able to connect or do you see another error message

Hi Tony,

Thank you for the response. When I select the TCP connection option, the VS and RS stay online. But when I change to HTTPS it fails immediately.

We got the PIX certificate from the actual server and imported it into LoadMaster and also assigned it to the VS, still we are getting the 403 error.

Is there any step we are missing here?

My feeling is:

The actual URL of the website is

https://x.x.x.x/ICCCDashboardapp/#/

But I guess Load Master is only accessing the URL as https://x.x.x.x

How to tell LoadMaster to use the complete URL...

you are correct, by default the LoadMaster will only check the root folder,
i.e. https://192.168.1.1/
not https://192.168.1.1/dashboard/

Please see section 2.3.2.1 HTTP or HTTPS Protocol Health Checking on the following document
