I finaly found it:
It was a setting on the virtual vmware switch. you have to enable "Forged Transmits"...just in case if someone struggles with the same issues.

Hi Alexander,
Yes it is possible.
In order to create a HA pair you need two separate Loadmasters each with its own individual licence.
You are free to deploy multiple Trial VLMs so in your case if you download a second VLM and licence (with Single Temp Licence) you will be able to create a HA pair with these two 'Single Temp' Licensed VLMs

Hi Barry,
thank you for aou quick reply. So i downloaded one appliance and installed it twice - is this my mistake? Do i need to donwload to individual vm´s?

I think my licensing is ok. If i take a look at the "Update License" Menue, i can see different License UUID´s. Nevertheless i have a green symbol for the local LM and for the Partner i have a red symbol on both LM. Maybe it is a Network issue? I can ping each other but i´m not sure about the mac spoofing thing and the multicast flow between the vm´s. How important is that?

Hi Alexander,
Thank you for updating this with the solution to your issue.
Yes, Enabling Forget Transmits is required for correct operation of the Loadmaster through a VmWare vSwitch.
See section 3.4 of below document for more explanation.

Thanks

Just to be sure:

there is no additional license required if I set up an HA cluster?

So if two of my LBs are licensed properly, each for itself, and I set up an HA configuration with those two, there is no additional license required, correct?

So the HA function itself does not need to be licensed, right?
