Cannot connect with .rdp after setting vIP as Default Gateway

After I change the "Default Gateway" on the Exchange CAS Server, to the virtual IP of the vLM, the servers are not reachable anymore per "Remote Desktop".
Is there a workaround for that? Additional Information: The Exchange CAS Server are having only 1 NIC each .
