Configure Loadmaster for IPv6

0

In addition to IPv4, we got a IPv6 prefix assigned today which should already be advertised. I can't see anything in the user interface of our LM2600 where I can configure IPv6. Where is it?

I assume you are not running the latest firmware. Please log in to support.kemptechnologies.com and download the latest version, which is 7.1-28b at the time of writing. IPv6 is fully supported by KEMP.

We are running 7.1-28b-50.

But turns out that networks aren't advertised from upstream, we need to configure this manually. But I can't see where I can configure everything, like downstream DHCPv6.

DHCP is not supported for use with the Loadmaster  for both IP protocols.

Where can I find documentation about what to consider when using IPv6 with Kemp devices?

And we need to run a separate DHCPv6 server for the internal services, right?

A good starting point with further links can be found here:

And no, since DHCP is nether supported in Client or Server Mode DHCP is not necessary. You will need to assign fixed addresses for your virtual services.
