Go Daddy Intermediate won't import

0

I click Certificates > SSL Certificates > Add Intermediate > Browse... and navigate to the .cer fie containing your Go Daddy Intermediate (or Root, same thing happens) certificate. I enter GoDaddy-Int.cer for the Desired File Name, then click Add Certificate and get the message:

Certificate Format Invalid

What do I have to do to make this certificate import? It works fine in IIS and looks good when I open the file.

Can you use PEM or PFX format?

Is CER not supported? It's what I have. The only options to export the intermediate in IIS7 is .cer since it's an intermediate.

Used a converter tool to convert it to a PEM and that worked.

I will look into this issue. I believe CER format should work just fin, but I will update here accordingly.

Seems that iOS devices need the GoDaddy intermediate certs loaded up on the Kemp when using a godaddy cert.  Thanks Ed for the link to the converter, I've never been able to load up an IIS cer file up onto the Kemp, but the converted PEM file worked like a charm.  I never had any luck in the past, but it seems Android, Windows Phone and any web browser out there other than iOS will go and get the Intermediate cert when it's not present.

I have this same problem only the converter doesn't work and the immediate file from Go Daddy is a pks #7. it won't import and converting with that tool doesn't seem to help

I found in the godaddy certificate repository a .pern intermediate that worked fine.

Hope this helps
