Ability to configure Sorry Server on a non local network

Hi,


Is it possible to support non local sorry server ?  This will help us to centralize all our maintenance page in one location instead of having multiple server just to server maintenance page, which is a waste of ressources.  Because currently the sorry server need to be on the same subnet as the actual VS.  

The redirection is not an option for us since it change the URL in the browser of the client.

Hi Etienne,

I tested against v7.1-30a and this feature is working. I was able to configure a non-local sorry server and traffic was directed to it.

Note: I did have to set the flag 'Enable Non-Local Real Servers' under System Configuration -> Miscellaneous Options -> Network Options.

Hi Dave,

we get the error message "Host not valid as Sorry Server". The Sorry Server is a non-local server. The Option "enable Non-Local Real Servers" is set.

Firmware 7.1.34.1

What can the error still mean?

And is it possible to use DNS-Name instead of IP-Adress?
