Exchange 2013 + vlm200 over site-2-site vpn fails

Hi there,

We got the following setup:

  • 2 EX Server
  • vlm200
  • ^the three systems are all in the same subnet
  • VS: Force Layer 7, non-transparent
  • Site-2-site vpn over firewalls

 

Now when we browse the EX URL to the VS from a machine in the remote site we get nothing, in IE we get "activate TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2" sometimes which of course is activated. If  we add a host entry to this machine pointing to the EX server and effectively by-passing the vlm we can browse the site.

Any ideas?

hello,

Can you check to see if you have transparency enabled on the service? if so can you make sure that you have set the default gateways on the real servers to be the interface IP of the LM.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your response. Transparency was enabled end the EX used to networks default gateway, not the one of the vlm.
I colleague of mine opened a tech case an it was something along of a too big MTU value on the vlm but I don't know the specifics.
