Load Balancing McAfee Move

1   Introduction 

McAfee Management for Optimized Virtual Environments (MOVE) AntiVirus brings advanced virus protection to virtualized desktops and servers,  is uniquely designed to relieve the overhead of traditional endpoint security, yet provide the protection and performance essential for success.

 

1.1  Document Purpose

This section details a configuration for a specific application that has been provided by a customer but has yet to be fully tested.

This specific configuration will ensure that your McAfee Move servers are highly-available, scalable, and secure.

Configuration has yet to be fully verified, Kemp Support will gladly assist if your McAfee Move traffic is not flowing as expected.

 

2  Configuration Required

 

2.1  Global Configuration

      No Changes Required

      

2.2  Virtual Service Configuration

 One virtual Service is required that will listen on port 9053. 

 

2.3   Virtual Service

      > New Virtual Service

      > Enter IP Address

      > Port = 9053

      >  Service Name = McAfee Move

      > Add This Virtual Service

 

2.4    Standard Options   

      > Disable Transparency

      >  Persistence = Source IP

      >  Timeout =  10 Minutes

      > Scheduling Method = Round Robin

 

 

2.6   Real Servers

      > Checker Parameter Type = TCP

      > Check Port =  9053  

      > Add New

 

      > Enter Real Server IP Address

      > Port = 443  

      > Forwarding Method = NAT
