Load Balancing Oracle RPM

1   Introduction 

The Oracle Retail Merchandise Operations Management suite allows retailers to establish a solid platform for growth and innovation which seamlessly executes core retail operations across channels, countries, and business models.

 

1.1  Document Purpose

This section details a configuration for a specific application that has been provided by a customer but has yet to be fully tested.

This specific configuration will ensure that your Oracle RPM servers are highly-available, scalable, and secure.

Configuration has yet to be fully verified, Kemp Support will gladly assist if your Oracle RPM traffic is not flowing as expected.

 

2  Configuration Required

 

2.1  Global Configuration

      No Changes Required

      

2.2  Virtual Service Configuration

 One virtual Service is required that will listen on port 80 or 443, and will forward traffic on destination port 7110.

 

2.3   Virtual Service

      > New Virtual Service

      > Enter IP Address

      > Port = 80

      >  Service Name = Oracle RPM

      > Add This Virtual Service

 

2.4    Standard Options   

      > Disable Transparency

      >  Persistence = Super HTTP   (If Service is 443, you will need to enable "SSL Acceleration" in SSL Properties

      >  Timeout =  2 Hours

      > Scheduling Method = Round Robin

 

 

2.5  Real Servers

      > Checker Parameter Type = TCP

      > Check Port =  7110

      > Add New




      > Enter Real Server IP Address

      > Port = 7110

      > Forwarding Method = NAT
