Real servers in different subnet

0

Hi,

I'm using a Virtual Loadmaster Vers:7.2.42.0.16189.RELEASE (Hyper-V).

Network config eth0: 192.168.10.x /24, and eth1: 10.22.0.x /24.

I have several services with VIP in 192.168.10.X, and real servers in 10.22.0.X range.

Can I have a service with VIP: 192.168.10.X, and a real server in 10.0.0.X /16? This is another subnet, in our LAN, and I want to reverse proxy my skype server from this subnet.

Appreciate your help.

Hello,

you have two options,
option 1.
add a new NIC to allow the LoadMaster a direct connection to that network in this case it can use eth2
option 2.
add the real servers as "non local"
please see this link for instructions
https://support.kemptechnologies.com/hc/en-us/articles/202029195-Allowing-non-local-Real-Servers-to-be-assigned-to-a-Virtual-Service

for the option to use non-local real servers the biggest drawback is that you cannot use transparency
here are some links below for details on transparency
