Two-arm configuration with HA

0

Not too sure after reading the documentation what the correct setup is, this is a virtual loadmaster.

With a 2-arm HA pair, eth1 facing real servers+wui, eth0 facing public.

Do I configure a shared IP address for all interfaces or just eth1?

and with HA checks is there any compelling reason to add an additional pair of interfaces or can I just use use eth1?

Hi,

consider that is strongly depending from your infrastructure design present. If you have a firewall that provides public facing and internal facing can be possible to use classical one-arm configuration on internal facing.

With one-arm (your ETH1) you can set the shared IP of HA and can be possible to insert LM in a network already existing without change default gateway on the existing RS.

If you approach with two-arm you need to set shared IP on every arm.
